Governmental Lawyering in the Political Sphere: Advocating the Leviathan

Abstract

The role of attorneys general and public prosecutors have largely been ignored in many legal studies.
These legal and political figures impose and limit the “rule of law” concerning political power foci. They hold contradictory positions of being independent as the agents of the state and being affiliated with the legal community that interprets legal texts.
